Bryan's cabinets of...Oldhammer!

Bryan Ansell provided a marvellous selection of figures to display at the Oldhammer Weekend at Foundry, all carefully arranged and displayed by his son Marcus. A took quite a few photographs, some of which have appeared previously on this blog, others have not. I'll let the pictures do the talking, but see if you can spot the Blanche-painted Runequest Troll...(hint: it's not in the "Blanche" section).

Undead

Orcs Hobgoblins and Goblins

Chaos

This is "Soulflayer Peelbone - fell sorceror and servant of the Chaos gods" from Bryan Ansell's chaos army in the 3rd edition Warhammer Fantasy Armies book (page 74).

This is "Doomweaver Goreblast - sorceror and practitioner of chaotic rites" from Bryan Ansell's chaos army in the 3rd edition Warhammer Fantasy Armies book (page 74).

The "Death Marauders of Ragoltha" some of which can be seen in Bryan Ansell's chaos army in the 3rd edition Warhammer Fantasy Armies book (page 74).

Humans

Genestealers

I didn't many pictures of these - you can see a lot more in my previous post.

  1. Wonderful addition Steve! Love the humans...great inspiration for the knights I supposed to be working on!

  2. It was a real pleasure to see all those models for real! Having spent countless hours staring at them in rulebooks and white dwarfs! Man, those chaos banners are ace aren't they! You just don't see any armies with banners like that anymore. Having had some success with painting old skool 'face shields', I really must have a go at a banner one day!

  3. Awesome collection of photographs of many great old miniatures. Spent many an hour looking at photos of them in the books, good to see them at different angles and closer up.

I especally appreciate the close ups of the Soulflayer and Doomweaver Goreblast, and love the photos of the lesser Goblins.
