If you've seen my previous posts on this subject (
Part 1 and
Part 2) then you'll already be aware that Bryan has some wonderful old Rogue Trader Space Marines in his collection, most of which were painted by the 'Eavy Metal team and appeared in various publications of the time. So today I present some more for your delectation.
Its great seeing those old chestnuts again, thanks. The shading on the Space Wolf in the third image is particularly memorable, I scrutinised that a lot back in White Dwarf, Ditto with the Chaos Terminator with the Autocannon in the fifth photo.
ReplyDeleteThose old techmarines are classic sculpts.
Ultramarines and red tech win the deal for me. They're totally oldschool and yet you can sense a lot of what today's painting is all about. Some real classic stuff. Thanks for providing us those beauties in such quality pictures !
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff! Love seeing these photographed with modern cameras.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colours! Which is half the battle when painting!
ReplyDeleteI think Darren Matthews painted that space wolf
ReplyDeleteWhat a blast it is seeing these again! This is how the Space Marines always appear in my mind.
ReplyDeleteVery cool seeing these close up, thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see the metal terminators; the first Citadel figs I bought was the original metal termies box to add into Space Hulk.
